Narrative: According to the Nova Scotia Museum, Gin case bottles were used between 1700-2000, thus being difficult to date.
Description: A dark amber gin case bottle with an applied lip and broad arched shoulders. The diameter of the shoulders measures 29 cm round and decreases throughout the body of the bottle until it measures 23 cm at the base of the bottle. The body shape is square with rounded corners. On the front, back and sides of the bottle there is a slight rippling effect in the glass.There are no discernable marks on the bottle.
