Description: METAL BUTTER DISH.  (A) BASE WITH MAIN DISH WHICH RESTS ON FOUR FEET FASHIONED IN A FLORAL PATTERN. LARGE HANDLE WITH SMALL HOOK AT TOP ON WHICH TO HANG COVER. ON ONE SIDE OF DISH ARE TWO SETS OF DOUBLE PRONGS USED TO HOLD A BUTTER KNIFE. BOTTOM READS: SIMPSON, HALL, MILLER & CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE 48 (B) PLATE WHICH RESTS INSIDE DISH. HOLE IN CENTRE. (C) DOMED COVER WITH SMALL RING ON TOP. RECESSED FLORAL DESIGN.
