Narrative: Charles Dewolfe Harris was born in Digby to a father who was a banker and a mother who was a photographer. He did not start painting until after age 50. He was a realist painter, often painting from old  photographs.
Description: A watercolour painting by C.D. "Pete" Harris of an  farm believed to be in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. There is a farm house with three gray barns and/or sheds to the left.  It is framed with gray and cream mattes with a wood and glass frame.
History of Use: The painting left the country at some point as it has the name of Atherton Gallery, CA (California) on the back.
