Narrative: Runciman House artifact:house built in 1817 by Rev.John Millidge.George Runciman took possession in early 1840s.In 1978 the property transferred to Heritage Canada.Sold to private owner in 2009, at which point many artifacts from the house were given to AHS by Heritage Canada.
Description: Mahog any open arm chair;upholstered in light dusky blue,with matching cushions;carved gently curving frame,arms and legs'horizontally grooved apron,grape and vineleaf motif at top upward curve of back.Simple round medallions at autercurve of arms and on outer side of front legs where the seat is joined.Thirteen button back,beige braid edges blue fabric all around matal casters.
