Narrative: Eels were traditionally fished in Cole Harbour using these pots.
Description: A) Large witherod eelpot; Conical form that slopes up to narrow mouth. Base is open leads into an open-ended cone form within the body of the eelpot. Some nylon and fiber ropes are attached at the base and near mouth for securing and retreval while in use. B) Roughly-carved wooden plug which can be inserted into the narrow mouth of the eelpot. Cylindrical with a whittled handle.
