This wooden plane is flat on the right side and has a slot cut into the top which is where the wooden handle and 13cm long metal are inserted through.  Left side has a metal plate screwed on about 5cms down from the top.  The metal blade goes down through a groove, which is cut in this metal plate and comes out on the bottom.  The bottom of the blade is sharp for shaving wood.  There is a groove on the bottom for different style of cutting window sashes.   

There is also a hand hole cut out about 4cms from the back end.
