Rake, Hand Hay

Description: A long, wooden, handmade rake. The base of the rack has a rectangular body and long, thick wooden spokes that extend horizontally. This base is held onto the large wooden handle by two pieces of metal that arch from the tip of each side of the base to the middle of the handle.
History of Use: This rake was used in the fields, to rake hay into rows during the harvest, for example.
