Description: Uniform for Royal Artillery Colonel: tunic (a) and trousers (b); Dark blue doeskin tunic (a) with red stand-up collar with hook at throat; With collar edged with gold cord and traced around with gold lace; Embroidered crown and pip on sides of collar; Gold wire shoulder cords with buttons; wide band of gold lace, rising to point, around each cuff; upper edge of band traced with gold bullet hole lace and lines of plain and scrolled gold Russia braid; Scarlet piping around edges of tunic; Nine brass Royal Artillery buttons down front; two buttons at rear waist; Two lines of piping extending from rear waist to lower edge: Skirt lined with black cloth; Body lined with quilted grey cloth; Dark blue cloth trouser (b) with two pockets in front waist and six black metal buttons in fly; With broad scarlet doeskin stripe down outside of each leg; Cloth instep straps, each with four black plastic buttons at waist, fly and pockets lined with black ribbed silk; Seven black metal buttons around upper edge of waist.
