Narrative: Used at Rockland Academy, Barrington Passage School. Mabel Nickerson , donor, taught at the Academy for many years. Donation made in 1985.
The abacus has 100 wooden balls, ten metal rods and a wood frame. Each corner interlocks with each other. The metal rods are bent out of shape, but still intact. The frame and balls have been stained brown and varnished. Each ball has a worn ring in the middle.
