Narrative: The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is a fraternal organisation derived from English Odd Fellows orders of the mid-1700s. The American order was founded in 1819 but eventually separated. Both Canada and Australia have Independent Order of Odd Fellows organisations. The female order is referred to as the Rebekahs. The main symbols of this order, on grave markers and on signage, is a three-link chain with an initial on each link (F, L, T -- signifying Friendship, Love and Truth). The Pesaquid Lodge 38 was located in Windsor, Nova Scotia.
