Narrative: The doll, 'Florence Nightingale', was given to Jeanette Denton, as she was delivering Meals on Wheels. Its nurse's uniform is circa 1950. It was used by the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to promote Florence Nightingale teas. It was displayed in store windows , e.g. Porters, and in the hospital for fundraising.
Description: A walking doll in a homemade nurse's uniform with top, skirt, booties, and hat. The doll has a tawny, short haircut, coral lips, the eyes, blue with rooted black eyelashes, close when lying down.
