Description: A rectangular wooden tray with a sheet of glass protecting the inside enclosed in a wooden frame somewhat raised from the glass. The frame has been stained a mahogany colour and lacquered. Wooden dowels 7 cm long with brass caps are secured to the centre bottom at each end with brass bars which are flattened on the bottom. The back is covered with grey felt. Under the glass the tray is a thin piece of pine with a design incised of two swans swimming among lilies in a pond and branches of trees fill the upper foreground. One swan has been left unstained ; the pond sky and water lilies are yellow, the leaves are brown and the other swan and parts of the water are stained black.
