Narrative: B.C. Silver gave this chair to the donor and said it was Acadian. It has some Acadian features but missing others. Probably post-expulsion Acadian.
Description: Wooden chair has a plank seat, four spiral spindles in the back, two stretchers in the front and sides, and one in the back. The top of the back legs has been cut at an angle. The chair has been painted black but there is evidence of red and brown paint on the stretchers. It is possible that the two left spindles on the back have been replaced. The seat has been replaced.
