Remarks: Around 1947, it was considered the largest manufacturer of marine engines in Canada. In March 1931, Acadia Gas Engines employed several hundred people and 50% of its output was exported to all over the world. Although located in Bridgewater, Acadia Gas Engines had a branch in St. John's, Newfoundland.
